For many years I contributed to the Docs at Easy Digital Downloads (EDD).
- I was part of the Product Marketing team
- I had to be an expert in using the EDD WordPress plugin and many of its extensions
- I collaborated with the Development and Support teams to update, improve, and maintain many Docs used by 26,000+ users
One new practice I introduced to the EDD product was to personally read and respond to every user survey. I made extensive notes from these interactions and used them to suggest product improvements to the Development team, and implemented more simplified instructions on the Docs based on pain points.
